Atte Mustonen

Atte Mustonen ( born September 16, 1988 in Heinola ) is a Finnish racing driver.

Mustonen began his motorsport career in 2001 in karting, where he was active until 2004 and could win some titles. 2005 joined the junior racer in Formula racing and immediately won the winter series of Italian Formula Renault. Then he started in Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, where he finished 20th overall, and in the German Formula Renault, in which he finished ninth in the drivers' standings with one race win. In 2006, he improved in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup to ninth place in the overall standings and he was also the eleventh northern European Formula Renault.

2007 moved Mustonen in the British Formula 3 championship Raikkonen Robertson Racing, the team of his compatriot Kimi Raikkonen. With a win and a further four podium finishes he occupied at the end of the season in seventh place overall. 2008 Finn denied his second season in the British Formula 3 Championship. He again won a race and achieved four podium finishes, but these results ranged this season for sixth place overall. 2009 saw the young racers in the Formula 3 Euro Series for team Moto Park Academy. After the first four race weekends, he had to take a break for health reasons and was replaced for a race weekend by Renger van der Zande. After Mustonen was able to participate again in the following two rounds, he was finally replaced three race weekends before the end by van der Zande. At the end of the season, he finished 19th overall.
