History

The station was built at the intersection of Dresden web with the road from Lankwitz to Tempelhof. It replaced the existing since 1875 Station south end B. D. ( the acronym stands for Berlin and Dresden, in contrast to the same station at the Anhalt line ). The original facilities were very simple pronounced. In the northern part of the train station there was a switch from the on the single-track route to Berlin to Zossen was twofold. Parallel to this was the track of the military railway, which, however, did not touch the train station. It got its present appearance in the years 1910 to 1914 according to the high lapping the track. In 1939, the suburban railways were electrified.

In 1945, the bridges were destroyed on the Teltow Canal by German troops. After the war, the bridge of the Dresden railway was replaced by a wooden temporary bridge, which burned down in the summer of 1947. For several weeks, the passengers of a makeshift platform on the south bank of the canal had to walk to Marienplatz village station.

It joins south of the platform with the S -Bahn track. The platform houses in 1979 and replaced by a new service space on the staircase.
