Avianca Cargo (formerly Tampa Cargo) is a Colombian cargo airline based in Medellín. Your home base is located in the José María Córdova Airport. Avianca Cargo is 100 % owned by Avianca or their AviancaTaca Holding.

History

As Tampa Cargo (actually Transportes Aereos Mercantiles Panamericanos SA ) was founded in the airline Luís H. Coulson and Orlando Botero Escobar and began flight operations on 11 March 1973.

1996 acquired the Dutch Martinair 50 percent of the shares of Tampa Cargo. In February 2008, Avianca acquired all the shares in the company and is now the sole owner. In May 2013, the company was renamed as part of the merger of their respective owners in the unified brand of Avianca Avianca Cargo Cargo in Tampa.

Destinations

Avianca Cargo specializes in air transportation of cut flowers from Latin America to North America. For this purpose the Miami airport is used as a hub. In addition, general cargo is transported within America.

They operated within Colombia Bogota, Medellin, Barranquilla and Cali. International will be flown ( in Venezuela) and Manaus Mexico City, Miami, San Juan, Iquitos, Lima, Quito, Caracas, Valencia.
