Ayad Lamdassem

Ayad Lamdassem ( Ayad Lamdassem El Mouhcin; born October 11, 1981 in Sidi Ifni ) is a Spanish long-distance runner of Moroccan origin.

In 2007 he received the Spanish citizenship and was in the same year national champion over 10,000 m.

The following year he was at the World Cross Country Championships on 36th and at the Olympic Games in Beijing in the 10,000 m at Rank 24 In the European Cross Country Championships he finished fourth.

In 2009 he finished 30th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Amman. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin, he reached over 10,000 m not the goal, and at the European Cross Country Championships he finished fifth.

2010 followed a 51st place finish at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz second place at the Great Manchester Run and the victory at the Ibero-American Championships in the 5000m. At the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona, ​​he sat down in the 10,000 m five laps to go along with the eventual winner Mohammed Farah and went from the lead in the final round, but had the final sprint of the British nothing to oppose and eventually fell to fourth place back.

Ayad Lamdassem is 1,72 m tall and weighs 52 kg. He lives in Lleida and is coached by Antonio Cánovas.
