Bachmanning
Bachmanning is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Wels-Land in Hausruckviertel with 691 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The competent jurisdiction is Lambach.
Geography
Bachmanning situated at an altitude of 435 m above sea level. A. in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 3.2 kilometers from north to south and from west to east 4.3 km. The total area is 7.2 km ². 12.5% of the area is forested and 76.4 % of the area is used for agriculture.
Bachmanning belonged until 2012 to the judicial district of Lambach and since 1 January 2013 part of the judicial district of Wels.

Coat of arms
From green and red divided by a silver, slanted left wave beams, accompanied by the figure at the top of a golden ear, down from a golden key with double beard and a cross in the handle.
The continuous oblique wave band points to the "Bach " name of the place, the ear of corn in the green field symbolizes the agricultural character of the community, the church key recalls the 927 documented testified handover of the " capella ad Pahmannon " of goods to the archbishop of Salzburg, Odalbert.
The municipality colors are red -yellow-green.
History
Around the year 700 Bachmanning was first mentioned as " Pahmann vilula ". Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality of Austria above the Enns attributed. During the Napoleonic Wars, the place was occupied several times. Since 1918, the town belongs to the province of Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the village belonged to the Upper Danube. About 20 prisoners of Mauthausen concentration camp were from the end of September 1943 used in Bachmanning to work in the sawmill ( subcamp of Großraming ). In 1991 the community had 571 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 638 inhabitants.
