Bachmanning

Bachmanning is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Wels-Land in Hausruckviertel with 691 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The competent jurisdiction is Lambach.

Geography

Bachmanning situated at an altitude of 435 m above sea level. A. in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 3.2 kilometers from north to south and from west to east 4.3 km. The total area is 7.2 km ². 12.5% ​​of the area is forested and 76.4 % of the area is used for agriculture.

History

Around the year 700 Bachmanning was first mentioned as " Pahmann vilula ". Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality of Austria above the Enns attributed. During the Napoleonic Wars, the place was occupied several times.
