Reception

Reviews

The game received mostly negative reviews ( GameRankings: 33.15% / Metacritic: 28 out of 100). Although the political satire of the scenario is widely praised, the technical implementation and the extent to low playful claim, however, were criticized.

"Bad Day LA is the game for Trash Culture: Satire pure, in which the United States biting criticism is in the foreground. Playful entertaining, American McGee had in terms of gameplay but still quiet still be able to grow something - hardcore gamers come up with this title clearly too short. The technical implementation may seem strange at first glance, but exactly meets its purpose. As satire succeeded I would have hoped for from the perspective of the gamer a little bit more. "

" Can you find a title good if he had seen playfully does not offer as much, but the staging of this is very funny and refreshingly different? This is a question that can not be answered generally valid in this case. [ ... ] Less freaky natures have probably already after the first ten minutes no more buck. You have the developers pay respect that here not just the seen a thousand times was recycled, but the next time those responsible should a little more attention to the playful qualities. "

"Bad Day LA has become a hodgepodge, light years away from gems like Alice. Too bad the exciting idea of American McGee is on so shaky fun - legs. "
