Bait Island
Pulau Bait is a Malaysian state of Sabah on the island belonging in the open to the Celebes Sea Darvel Bay. The predominantly forested island is located about 10 kilometers northwest of Semporna. The largely flat island extends 7.3 km in a north-easterly direction and is up to 2 km wide. [Note 1] In the southwest lies the 110 m high Bukit Limau Limau ( Lemon Hill ). In the north of Pulau Bait adjacent to Pulau Silawa; The two islands are separated at low tide by a sandy, muddy strip. [note 2] The island is separated by a few hundred meters narrow, navigable strait of Pulau Larapan in the Northeast.
