Bardou

Bardou ( Occitan: Bardon ) is a commune with 42 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Dordogne, in the Aquitaine region; it belongs to the administrative district in the canton of Bergerac and Issigeac.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 18 kilometers south-east of Bergerac in the Perigord Noir. Neighboring communities of Bardou are:

  • Monsac in the north,
  • Nausannes in the east,
  • Saint -Léon- d'Issignac in the southeast,
  • Boisse in the southwest and
  • Montaut in the West.

Through the church is a small ridge that leads to the fact that in the eastern region, the river Banège arises that, while in the north-western municipality of the sources of the river Couzeau lie southwest to Dropt and further dewatered to the Garonne, which the north Dordogne draws runs.

Bardou is located off over regional transport links. The community is served by the department D25 road that leads from Eymet to Beaumont -du- Périgord.
