Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell (English for " Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell " ) is the sixth studio album by the American rock singer Meat Loaf and was released in 1993 All songs were composed by Jim Steinman. most come from earlier projects from him. The cover was designed by Michael Whelan and based on the cover of Bat Out of Hell, originating from Richard Corben.
The single " I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Will not Do That )" was a worldwide number - one hit. It stayed in the UK seven weeks at number 1 and became the best selling single of the year. At the same time Meat Loaf "Bat out of Hell " released as a single, which came in the Top 10 there also. Meat Loaf remained so up to the Manic Street Preachers in 2001, the last artist of the two top 10 singles simultaneously in the UK charts had.
"Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through" and "Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are " were also released as singles, but it only managed number 22 or number 90 in Germany, but were Top 20 singles in UK. The album was number one in Germany and stayed 31 weeks in the German Top 10 album charts.
