Bauma is a municipality in the district of Pfäffikon of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. On 1 January 2015 Bauma merged with the municipality to municipality Sternberg Bauma.

There are various theories as to how the arms of the municipality Bauma has emerged. The one refers to the year 1740 as the first time a coat of arms is mentioned. History

The colonization by the entry of the Alemanni was in the 7th to 10th centuries in the higher terrain terraces, especially Allenwil, Bettswil, Bliggenswil, Blitterswil, horns, Lipperschwendi, Undalen, Wellenau and Wilen. Merger Bauma -Sternberg

The council has invited the Sternberg council Bauma in November 2012 to merger negotiations. The new financial equalization law grants the municipality Sternberg until the end of 2017 annual compensation. Economy
