Beachmont (MBTA-Station)

Beachmont is named after the suburb of Revere metro station of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ( MBTA ) near the East Boston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts in the United States. It provides access to the Blue Line. The station is next to Charles / MGH, Science Park, Malden Center, Wollaston and Fields Corner one of the few remaining elevated metro stations in the MBTA network.

History

The original station was built on 19 January 1954. From 1994 to 1995, together with the stations Suffolk Downs, Revere Beach and Wonderland was a complete new building.
