Beauregard-Baret

Beauregard- Baret is a southern French village in the Drôme department in the Rhône -Alpes.

Geography

Beauregard- Baret is located about 30 km east of Paris and 10 km south-east of Bourg -de- Péage (in straight line ). The 23.44 km ² large municipality covers a part of the valley of the Isère and lies at the foot of the Vercors Mountains.

Population

Beauregard- Baret is one with 798 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) to the mid-sized communities in the department of Drôme. In 1962, the municipality still 441 inhabitants, after the population dropped to 321 in 1975. Reason for this was the relatively high migration rate. Since then, the population grew rapidly in the last 30 years it has almost doubled. This was due to immigration and a positive birth rate.
