Rochefort-Samson
Rochefort -Samson is a commune with 964 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the north of the department of Drôme in the Rhône -Alpes.
The village lies to the east of the fertile plain at the mouth of the Isère in the Rhone. East borders the community to the Vercors Mountains. Rochefort -Samson is about 11 km southeast of Bourg -de- Péage and approximately 20 km east of Valence (in straight line ). The highest point of 24.59 km ² municipal area is 1330 m high Rocher des Deux- Sœurs. The two streams Combe d' Oyan and Fleur originate in the municipality of Rochefort -Samson that part of the Vercors Mountains.
