The Paris - Beauvais- Tille Airport ( IATA: BVA, ICAO: LFOB; French Aéroport de Paris Beauvais Tille ) is an international airport 84 km north of the French capital Paris. It is used mainly by low cost airlines and counted in 2012, nearly four million travelers.

History

The airport was built in the 1930s, occupied during the Second World War by the German Air Force and subsequently used by the Allies. In 1956 it was opened for civil aviation.

The airport is now not used as the other airports in the Paris Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Le Bourget, Aéroports de Paris, but by a municipal purpose association.

Equipment

The airport currently has two terminals 1 and 2, the longest take-off and landing runway 12/30 since 2009 is equipped with an instrument landing system category CAT III and has since been thus are also served in adverse weather conditions.

Paris - Beauvais is mainly served by low cost airlines such as Ryanair and Wizzair for example, linking him with several European destinations, including Milan and Stockholm.

Location and Transport

The airport is located in Beauvais, 84 km north of Paris and outside the limits of Paris Region Ile- de -France in the département of Oise. It is connected via the Autoroute A16 to Paris. From Paris there are up to 16 daily buses from the airport to Beauvais. The entry point is located at Porte Maillot Métro Paris. An easy drive will take depending on traffic about 70 to 100 minutes.
