Beesenstedt is a place of unity in the community Salzatal Saale district, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Until the formation of the unified community Salzatal on 1 January 2010 Beesenstedt was an independent municipality in the administrative community Western Saalkreis.

Geography

Beesenstedt is located northwest of Halle ( Saale), about two miles from the hall.

  • Beesenstedt castle (13th century): dismantled in the GDR up to the manor house, now a training center for professional jumping horse and rider.

Industrial history

Approximately 500 m south of the village Beesenstedt is the disused mine Kaliwerk_Gewerkschaft_Wils. Here you won 1911-1922 potash salts. The 1000 Kuxe "union Wils " possessed the "union Johanna Hall ," so this mine system was in fact a subsidiary of the latter union. Board and the management were on both mining equipment the same people.

Transport links

The districts Schwittersdorf and Obernaundorf be due to the well-established link road L 159 of Halle ( Saale) by Klostermansfeld which leads then as B 242 via the Harz mountains to Seesen.

The Federal Highway 14 leading from Leipzig to Magdeburg is located about 14 km east of the Beesenstedt.
