Westlicher Saalkreis
In the administration of Community Western Saalkreis from the Saxony-Anhalt Saalekreis nine municipalities were merged to perform their administrative business. The community Höhnstedt came on 1 January 2009 from the administrative community dignity / Salza in the administrative community Western Saalkreis.
On 1 January 2010, the administrative community was disbanded by the merger of all member municipalities to the new unified community Salzatal.
The management community had an area of 109.36 km ² and 12952 inhabitants (December 31, 2007).

- Salzmünde with Benckendorf, Gödewitz, Neuragoczy, Pfützthal, Quillschina and Schiepzig
- Schochwitz with Boltz height, Gorsleben, Krimpe, Räther and Wils
- Zappendorf with Müllerdorf and Köllme
