Benalúa

Benalúa (formerly known as Benalúa de Guadix ) is a Spanish municipality in the Andalusian province of Granada. Benalúa is located on the Sierra Nevada and borders the municipalities of Fonelas and Purullena, within sight is also Guadix. Nearby Cities are Bejarin, Cortes y Graena and Marchal.

The town of Benalúa is situated in the Hoya de Guadix, a natural plateau at the confluence of the rivers Fardes and Guadix. The village has a height of 886 m on average and reached the highest point on the 930 m high mountain Kabila.
