Beni (singer)

Beni Daniels (Japaneseべ に, real name: Arashiro Beni安良 城 红; born March 30, 1986 in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan ) is a Japanese singer- songwriter. She debuted in 2004 in the Japanese music industry and signed her first recording contract with Avex Trax.

After a change of record companies in 2008 to Universal Music Japan, she took her stage name Beni (proper spelling: BENI ) to.

Life and career

Beni Daniels was born in Okinawa and moved into her childhood, among others, to California and then to Yokohama. Her father is American with Indian roots, her mother Japanese. Their musical style is inspired, according to his own statement of Namie Amuro, Alicia Keys and Janet Jackson ( the favorite singer of her father ). She graduated at the Nile C. Kinnick High School in Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan. In addition, she studied sociology at Sophia University.

Even as a child she wanted to be a singer and played piano. Since her parents were living overseas, she traveled frequently between America and Japan. She reached for one of the largest castings in Japan Bishojo Contest Kokuminteki, the final. When she sent a demo to the Japanese record company Avex Trax, the producers of their voice, their appearance and pronunciation in English were impressed that they offered her a contract. At first she was a member of the group Bishojo Club 31 is the first out of the band, she launched a solo career. Their first single was called " Harmony " and was the theme song of the Japanese drama Reikan Bus Guide Jikenbo.
