Bensdorf

Bensdorf is an office Wusterwitz belonging municipality in the district of Brandenburg Potsdam- agent market.

Geography

The municipality has five districts:

  • Altbensdorf
  • Herrenhölzer
  • Neubensdorf
  • Vehlen
  • Woltersdorf

For this purpose, the homestead Genzhof come (mostly dunks called ) at Vehlen, the deserted village Speckte west of Altbensdorf, as well as the residential places Dorotheenhof and New Wolter Wolter village in the village.

In the south of the municipality are the Woltersdorfer old sewer as part of Plau channel and the Elbe - Havel Canal. The Plau canal was built from 1743 to 1745. At the Plau lock opens the old channel also referred to in the Wendsee. The lock is already in the area of Plau on the Havel, on Bensdorfer side is the Dorotheenhof. The younger Elbe- Havel Canal is located further south and was created in the 1930s.

Infrastructure

The municipality is located both on the main road between the towns of Genthin 1 and Brandenburg an der Havel and the highway between L96 and Ziesar Premnitz.
