Bergen IK

The mountains IK ( offziel Ishockyklubb Bergen ) is a Norwegian ice hockey club from Bergen. The team plays in the first divisjon and wearing their home games in the Bergenshallen from.

History

The mountains IK was founded in the early 1980s and first played in the third division in Norway. In parallel, there were mountains in the SK Djerv whose first team between 1979 and 1983 for several seasons in the top division of the country, the former first divisjon played.

1983 Bergen IK rose from the 3rd to the 2nd divisjon divisjon and remained first in this division. 1986 abolished the SK Djerv the rise from the 2nd to the 1st divisjon. In order to form a competitive team for the top flight, cooperated Sk Djerv and the mountains IK in the subsequent period.

The gaming community Bergen IK / SK Djerv belonged to from the season 1986/87 to 1990, the highest Norwegian ice hockey league.
