Bernardo Alves

Bernardo Alves ( born November 20, 1974 in Belo Horizonte; Complete name: Bernardo Resende Alves Cardoso ) is a Brazilian show jumper. Alves lives in Belgium, where it is trained by Rodrigo Pessoa. In the meantime, he was also active in the stable of Ludger Beerbaum and was part of the successful Audi team. Two of his biggest success so far was the victory in the Grand Prix of Calgary and in price from Europe at the CHIO Aachen. In 2004 he participated with the Brazilian team in the Olympic Games. In 2008 his horse Chupa Chup at the Olympic Games in Beijing was tested positive for the agent capsaicin.

At the Pan American Games in 2011 he won with Bridgit individual bronze and team silver.

In November 2011, he is ranked No. 69 of the show jumping world rankings.
