Beş Yıl Önce, On Yıl Sonra

Beş Yıl önce, On Yıl Sonra (Turkish: five years earlier, ten years later ) was a Turkish band from the 1980s.

They represented Turkey in the Euro Vision Song Contest 1984 with the song Halay and were ranked number twelve, which at that time meant a good placement for this country.

The members were Nilgün Onatkut, Atakan Ünüvar, Mehmet Horoz, and Şebgün Tansel.

Interestingly, one can draw parallels to the Turkish Euro Vision participations from the group name, for both five years prior to her appearance (1979 ) and ten years later (1994 ) there was no Turkish competition title.
