Bichelsee -Balterswil is a municipality in the district of Münchwilen the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.

Geography

Bichelsee -Balterswil is (also called Tannzapfenland ) in Hinterthurgau, the south-western, mountainous part of the canton.

History

On June 4, 817 Ifinwilare ( Ifwil ) is first mentioned in a deed of gift of the Emperor Louis the Pious to the monastery of St. Gall.
