Bill Koch (skier)

William Conrad "Bill" Koch ( born June 7, 1955 in Brattleboro, Vermont ) is a former American professional cross-country skiers.

He was the first U.S. cross-country skier who was able to establish itself in the world class. At the Olympic Games 1976 in Innsbruck, he won the silver medal over 30 kilometers.

His greatest sporting disappointment was the performance at the 1980 Olympic Games in their own country, as he could not place it in the front of the field in the forests around Lake Placid.

In 1981 he won the Engadin Ski Marathon, the 1982 Cross Country World Cup.
