Billund Airport ( IATA code BLL, ICAO code EKBI, officially Billund Airport - verde direct ) is about two kilometers north of Billund approximately in the middle of Jutland. It is the second largest airport in Denmark. In 2002 the new passenger terminal was opened, which has a capacity of 3.5 million passengers per year.

For German-speaking countries, there were 2011 connections from Lufthansa, Cimber Sterling and Sun Air of Scandinavia. In December 2011, the budget airline Ryanair announced to open a base in Billund and first to deploy two Boeing 737-800 here.

Location

After Vejle, the regional capital of Region Syddanmark is around 30 km and 251 km to Copenhagen. The Lego works and the theme park Legoland are located in the immediate vicinity.
