Blessing Okagbare

Blessing Okagbare (also written Akagbare; born October 9, 1988 in Sapele ) is a Nigerian long jumper and sprinter.

The Pan-African Games in 2007 she won the silver medal in the long jump and was fourth in the triple jump. At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing she won with her personal best of 6.91 m bronze medal in the long jump behind Maurren Higa Maggi (BRA ) and Tatyana Lebedeva (RUS ).

2010 won Okagbare at the African Championships three gold medals in the long jump, the 100 - meter dash and the 4 x 100 - meter relay. In the Continental Cup in the same year she was third in the 100 meters and sixth in the long jump. 2011 reached Okagbare at the World Championships in fifth in the 100 -meter run. In the same discipline she won silver at the Pan-African Games in 2011 and also silver in the relay and gold in the long jump.

Also at the 2012 Olympics in London launched Okagbare in three disciplines. In the long jump she was eliminated in the qualifying. Successful she was in the sprint over 100 meters it was Eighth and with the Nigerian Fourth Season.

Other bests and records then followed in 2013. In long jump it is on 19 July in Monaco with 7.00 m, a new personal best, on the 100-meter distance, they improved a week later in London, the African record only on 10, 86 s and then at 10.79. At the World Championships 2013 in Moscow she won the silver medal in the long jump.
