BÅ‚udowo

Błudowo ( German Bludau, Circle Brown Mountain ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It belongs to the urban and rural community Młynary ( Mulhouse, Circle Prussian Holland ) in circular Elbląg ( Elbing ).

Geographical location

Błudowo is located on the province road 505 that leads from Braniewo ( Brown Mountain ) on Młynary ( Mühlöhausen ) to Pasłęk ( Prussian Holland). The place is located near the junction of this road with the highway S 22 (the part of the former kingdom motorway Berlin- Königsberg ), the Elbląg ( Elbing ) coming to the Polish- Russian border on the transition point Grzechotki / Mamonowo II and continued as a long road R 516 to runs to Kaliningrad (Königsberg ). Urban branches a side road off to Stare Monasterzysko (Alt Münsterberg ). About Młynary is following the railway line from Malbork ( Marienburg) by Mamonowo ( Heiligenbeil ) to proceed to Kaliningrad ( former Prussian Eastern Railway ).

History

In the East Prussian district Fischhausen there was also a village called " Bludau " ( = Kostrowo in Rajon Selenogradsk ( circle Cranz ) of Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Königsberg area ) ). Both places have to do with the family Bludau. The Knights Hermann von Bludau came from Bohemia or Moravia in the Prussian Order of the country, where he was called in 1298 for the first time in a document in a circle brown mountain. As a locator of the village Bludau he received in 1310 the Tangible.

In 1874 Bludau was at the newly established office district Rautenberg (now Polish: Wierzno Wielkie ) incorporated. It existed until 1945 and belonged to the circle brown mountain in the district of Königsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia. In 1910 365 residents were registered in the village.

On September 30, 1928 was Nachbargutsbezirk Old Sadlucken (Polish: Stare Sadłuky, not more exist) incorporated in the rural community Bludau. The population grew until 1933 to 407 in 1939 and was still 380

In consequence of the war Bludau came in 1945 with the southern East Prussia to Poland and was awarded the Polish name " Błudowo ". The village is now incorporated into the urban and rural community Młynary ( Mühlhausen). It is part of the powiat Elblaski (Kreis Elbing ) within the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship ( 1975-1998 Elbląg Voivodeship ).

Church

Church building

The small Catholic brick church in Błudowo was renewed in 1703. The wooden tower was added in 1718, which is documented by the date on the weather vane. The church houses a small high altar from 1851, the Seitenaltäte was built in the same style. The former Kantel had valuable carvings on the basket and the staircase. The church bears the name kościół Nawiedzenia Najświętszej Maryi Panny ( Mary Visitation Church).

Parish

The population Bludaus or Błudowos has always been almost exclusively Catholic denomination. Today it Kirchdorf is part of the Dean's Office Frombork ( Mrs. Castle ) in the Archdiocese of Warmia of the Catholic Church in Poland. Here surviving Protestant church members belong to the parish in Elbląg ( Elbing ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.
