Geography
Böhmfeld lies in the region of Ingolstadt.
There is only the district Böhmfeld.
History
Until 1803 Böhmfeld was an office of the Prince-Bishopric of Eichstätt ( the lower courts was the Eichstätter ates monastery of St. Walburg exercised ), which was from 1500 in the Frankish Empire circuit and in the kingdom in 1803 with the largest part of the hochstiftischen area to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany fell. Since the peace treaties of Brno and Bratislava in 1805 the place belonged to Bavaria.

On the territory of the municipality were 1970 815, 1987, 1086 and 2000 counted 1,555 residents a year.

The coat of arms shows " split of silver and red, front over increased three green mountain, which is covered with a silver wave peak, the red crookedness of a Äbtissinnenstabes, behind the growing golden Boniface column. "

- Catholic Parish Church of St. Boniface, built in the 11th century and was consecrated by Bishop Gundekar II; of it yet the basement of the choir tower; 1596 Church and tower extension surge capacity; 1792-93 new church, baroque furnishings; Rococo main altar from 1756, spent 1804 from the secularised Kaisheimer chapel in Ingolstadt to Böhmfeld, altarpiece with Saint Bernard and Mary of Ingolstadt Rococo artist Johann Evangelist Hölzl.

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of 612 k € in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted 81 T €. It was in 1998 according to official statistics in industry and in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at work. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 22 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 559 in the manufacturing sector, there was one operation, in construction 1 operation. In addition, in 1999, there were 20 farms with an agricultural area of 424 ha, of which 379 ha of arable land.

" On-site helper " Böhmfeld
The local Red Cross readiness Böhmfeld the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK ) has since 1995 a so-called helper - at-home system, which is mainly used in medical emergencies in the village and the surrounding neighboring villages. This volunteer BRK- emergency personnel are alerted via BOS - pager around the clock on the rescue coordination center in Ingolstadt needs that come on site with their emergency vehicle within minutes and thus shorten the arrival time of the rescue service. The helper can be contacted directly by the citizens. Currently, these are about 200 missions a year.
