Božidar Maljković

Bozidar Maljković ( born April 20, 1952 in Otočac, SR Croatia) is a Yugoslavian basketball coach and a total of 19 titles won one of the most successful basketball coaches of all time.

Bozidar Maljković began his coaching career at the young age of 19 years at the Yugoslav club Ušće Belgrade. He subsequently worked for OKK Radnički and Red Star Belgrade Maljković moved in 1986 to Jugoplastika Split ( KK Split) where he was to have the most successful period of his coaching career. Between 1988 and 1990, he was three times in a row the Yugoslav Double twice and the European Champions Cup win (1989, 1990) and was twice elected coach of the year in Europe. 1993 could Maljković the most important competition in Europe for club teams win a third time when he could win as underdogs the Final Four tournament in Athens with CSP Limoges. After four national titles in three years Maljković moved in 1995 to the Greek giants Panathinaikos Athens. With Panathinaikos won Maljković, among other things, Dominique Wilkins, 1996 for the fourth time the European Cup and even the Intercontinental Cup. After Maljković 2001 won another international title with the Korac Cup, he moved to Real Madrid in 2004 where he was under contract for two years and was able to win a championship. From 2007 to 2010 held Maljković the coach of TAU Ceramica. On 12 December 2010, he took over the Slovenian national team. From July to November 2012, he was coach of the Croatian club KK Cedevita, the 2012/13 also took part in the highest European club competition ULEB Euro League, before he resigned for personal reasons.
