Branislav Konrád

Branislav Konrád ( born October 10, 1987 in Nitra, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey goaltender who is under contract with HK Nove Zamky from the MOL League since 2013.

Career

Branislav Konrád began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Nitra, for the first team, he was active in the Slovak Extraliga 2005-2008. Towards the end of the season 2007/ 08 he also completed three games for Metallurg Zhlobin from the Belarusian Extraliga. For the 2008/09 season, the goalkeeper has been committed by the HC Slovan Bratislava, where he spent the next four years in the Slovak Extraliga. There he became one of the best goalies in the league and had the season 2009 /10 with 94% of the best catch rate of all Extraliga - Torwärte on. In the 2011/12 season he won with Slovan Bratislava goalkeeper as the Slovakian championship. He was elected to the All-Star team in the league.

For the 2012/13 season Slovan Bratislava was included in the Continental Hockey League and came as a spare man behind Jaroslav Janus total in seven KHL games available for use. In July 2013 he left Slovan and was later taken from HK Nove Zamky from the MOL League under contract.

Internationally

For Slovakia Konrád took part in the junior level at the U18 World Junior Championship in 2005 and the U20 World Youth Championship in 2007. In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the 2007 World Championships, in which he, however, was not used.
