Brezno District

The Okres Brezno is an administrative unit in central Slovakia with 65,080 inhabitants ( 2004) and an area of 1,265 km ².

Historically, the district is located for the most part in the former county Sohl, a smaller part of the east from the place Polomka part of the former county Gemer and small Hont (see also List of historic counties of Hungary ).
