British and Irish Cup

The British and Irish Cup is a competition in Rugby Union, to participate in the teams from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. He will be first held in the 2009/10 season.

Mode

First, the 24 teams are divided into four groups of six teams, each team plays once against each other. The groups are formed according to geographical aspects, so that long trips for the audience of visiting teams eliminated. The group winners will meet in the semi-finals and determine there the final pairing.
