Bryan Schmidt

Bryan Schmidt ( born July 27, 1981 in Bloomington, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player of German origin which is since July 2012 at the Star Bulls Rosenheim in the 2nd Bundesliga under contract.

Career

Schmidt began his career in the 1999/2000 season at the Twin City Vulcans in the United States Hockey League and stood for a commitment to denTri -City Storm for the team of Merrimack College in the play mode of the NCAA on the ice. Even in his last year of college spent the right shooter for some time at the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League and eventually signed a contract with the Premier League rivals Manchester Monarchs. Before moving to Kassel he graduated in the 2007/08 season 44 games in the American Hockey League with the Milwaukee Admirals before he joined the ECHL for 14 more games to the Cincinnati Cyclones.

On 26 August 2008 the defender signed a year contract with the Kassel Huskies after he was able to convince the coach Stephane Richer and his team environment by his playful and human qualities in a two-week tryout. In the summer of 2010, he got a sample contract with the Malmö Redhawks, which was not extended. In October of the same year he was again a try-out contract with the Krefeld Penguins. In the same month, Schmidt was taken by the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL under contract, for which he came in 38 games until January 2011 for use.

On 18 January 2011 was taken up to the end of the season under contract Bryan Schmidt of the EHC Munich.
