Bukowo, Opole Voivodeship

George works, Polish Bukowo, is a town in Upper Silesia. George plant is located in the municipality Murow in powiat Opolski in Polish Opole Voivodeship.

History

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 282 voters voted to remain in Germany and nine for Poland. George works remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 337 inhabitants in the village. 1939, the place had 314 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration, was renamed Bukowo and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. 1950 Bukowo part of the Opole Voivodeship and 1999 of the re-established powiat Opolski. In March 2009, the City also received the official German place names George work.
