Nowe Budkowice

New Budkowitz, Polish Nowe Budkowice is a town in Upper Silesia. New Budkowitz located in the municipality Murow in powiat Opolski in Polish Opole Voivodeship.

History

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 218 voters voted to remain in Germany and 163 for Poland. New Budkowitz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 454 inhabitants in the village. On 19 May 1936, the town was renamed in New chalet village. 1939, the place had 438 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration, was renamed in Nowe Budkowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. 1950 Nowe Budkowice part of the Opole Voivodeship and 1999 of the re-established powiat Opolski. In March 2009, the City also received the official German place names New Budkowitz.
