Extension

Federal highway 241, was laid between Bollensen and Ellierode since the end of 2009. By October 2011, the 4225 m long section RLO was 2, dreistreifig expanded between Volpriehausen to junction Ellierode. The new section of road straightened the previous winding forest road and serves as a bypass of the settlement Goseplack. The intersecting rural roads are via or and partially replaced in the rear grid. Part of the old federal road section Bollertmühle ( Volpriehausen ) to settlement Goseplack was stripped down to the service road. It is planned that the old stretch of road junction Schlarpe to the settlement Goseplack remains. The high cost of the section RLO 2 of 32.5 million euro from the stimulus package I & II justified by the high number of bridge underpasses, the track alignment as a viaduct in the area Schlarpe and spanning viaducts, for example, near the settlement Goseplack. But the bridge structures with up to 400 meters in length amounted to approximately 15 million euros.

The section was released in October 2011 for the traffic. In the course of a transfer of the B 241 to bypass the city Uslar is now planned.

In the area of Osterode and partly between Osterode and Clausthal- Zellerfeld, the B241 is widened to four lanes. Near Osterode street runs through the 393 m long tunnel butter mountain.

It is so far assumed that by 2020 the traffic load on this route is 11,000 vehicles per day.

  • The section between Uslar and Hardegsen was popular with motorcyclists, because on one hand it leads called on the curves and woodlands, " Bollert " Mountain Road, but many just has sections before and after. With the poor construction of the curve Bollertabschnittes and the expansion to three lanes between Volpriehausen and Ellierode, which was released in October 2011, the appeal for motorcyclists has suffered.
