C.D. Universidad de Concepción

Club Deportivo Universidad de Concepción is a Chilean football club based in Concepción. The club, founded in 1994, has never been Chilean football champions to date, currently plays in the Primera División and plays its home games at the Estadio Municipal de Concepción, which seats 29,000 spectators.

History

The club Club Deportivo Universidad de Concepción was established in 1994 in the city of Concepción near the west coast of Chile. Here, the club should not be confused with such a name Deportes Concepción, which is also located in the same city, more than thirty years played in La Liga, but is at present very much lost in the second division. CD Universidad de Concepción originally arose from the same university out and must therefore be understood as a university team.
