Cacilhas is a Freguesia the Portuguese city of Almada on the south bank of the Tagus ( Margem Sul do Tejo ).

The community is known for its harbor. For decades, attracting numerous ferries (now under the direction of Transtejo & Soflusa ) passengers to the opposite ferry terminal Cais do Sodré. For this reason, the Tagus ferries are also called " Cacilheiros " in the vernacular.

Since November 2008, the community also has a commuter rail connection. Since that time, the Metro Sul do Tejo Cacilhas binds to the main shopping streets in Almada, but also to Pragal and the Science and Technology Faculty of the New University of Lisbon. When connecting the city to the Portuguese rail network of Pragal train station, which is connected to the MST directly with Cacilhas serves.
