Calama (titular see)

Calama is a titular of the Roman Catholic Church.

Located in North Africa City (present day Guelma ) was an ancient Roman bishopric, which went down in the 7th century with the Islamic expansion. He lay in the Roman province of Numidia.

One of the acting officers was here in the first quarter of the fifth century Possidius, Bishop of Calama - student, companion and biographer of Augustine of Hippo.
