Caledonian Stadium

Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Tulloch Caledonian Stadium is a football stadium in Inverness, Scotland. It is the home of Scottish football club Inverness Caledonian Thistle and offers viewers 7,750 seats.

1994 merged the two Scottish football clubs Caledonian FC and Inverness Thistle F. C. to the new club Inverness Caledonian Thistle. As support for the merger, they were awarded the contract within the first three seasons to build a new stadium since the old stadium, the Telford Street Park, no longer met the requirements of the Scottish Football Association.

On 3 October 1995, construction began on the new stadium in the Longman area; it was inaugurated on 9 November 1996 with the league game against Albion Rovers (1-1).

After the climb, 2004 in the Scottish Premier League, the club had to rebuild the stadium again and leave to enlarge. Thus, all home games were played at Pittodrie Stadium in Aberdeen, while their own stadium was expanded by the main shareholder, the Tulloch Construction Company, to a capacity of about 7,500 spectators in the first half of the season. As Tulloch took over a large part of the cost, the stadium was officially named after the company.

The record attendance with 7,512 spectators dated August 6, 2005 from the game against the Glasgow Rangers.
