The Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas is located in the Spanish capital Madrid football stadium and the home ground of the club Rayo Vallecano. The stadium is located in the south of the city in Vallecas district and has a capacity of 14,708 spectators.
History
The Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas was Nuevo Estadio de Vallecas opened on 10 May 1976 on the grounds of the old Estadio de Vallecas, as solemnly with a match between the home team and Real Valladolid. At this time it had a capacity of around 20,000 spectators. In 1996 it was renovated and converted into a pure -seater stadium, the capacity was therefore reduced to 15,500 seats. In 1999, the renaming after the reigning since 1994 President of Rayo Vallecano and wife of Spanish entrepreneur José María Ruiz Mateos, Teresa Rivero Sánchez- Romate was. Location and Public Transportation
The stadium is located in the district of Puente de Vallecas in the street Payaso Fofó and can be reached via the Metro Line 1 Madrid ( Portazgo station ) as well as the bus lines 10, 54, 57, 58 and 136.
