Cao (state)

Cao (曹Chinese, Pinyin CaO ) was a to 487 BC existing ancient Chinese State on the territory of today's Shandong province. Cao was in the Western Zhou Dynasty, the time of the Spring and Autumn Annals and the time of the Warring States during the Zhou.

The first ruler was Shu Zhen Duo (姬 振 铎), the son of King Wen of Zhou (周文王), v. in the 11th century BC

Its capital Taoqiu (陶 丘) was located in the southwest of present-day Dingtao - circle (定陶 县), Shandong Province.

The victory of the State Song 487 BC, Cao disappeared this.
