Caperdonich distillery

Caperdonich is a former whiskey distillery in Rothes, Morayshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.

History

The distillery was founded in 1898 by James Grant as Glen Grant No. 2 founded across from Glen Grant. The two distilleries were up to the first closure of Glen Grant No. 2 1902 connected by a pipeline. In 1965 the distillery was renovated by Glenlivet Distilleries and reopened under the name Caperdonich. In 1967, she added two stills to four. In 1977 she went to Seagram and 2001 Pernod Ricard, which they quietly laid in August 2002 and sold parts of the site. The end of 2010 the distillery was demolished. Production

The water belonging to the Speyside distillery was from Blackburn ( Caperdonich well).
