Carl Landry

Carl Christopher Landry ( born September 19, 1983 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin ) is an American professional basketball player and plays for the Sacramento Kings. In his college days, from 2004 to 2007, he played for the Purdue Boilermakers. The 2.06 m wide and 112 -pound forward is the older brother of Boston Celtics forward Marcus Landry and Shenita Landry.

Career

Carl, son of Mark and Anita Landry, Harold attended St. Vincent High School.

NBA career

Houston Rockets 2007-2008

On 28 June 2007 Carl Landry was drafted at # 31 out of the Seattle SuperSonics and was then weitergetradet for a future second round pick to the Houston Rockets. In his rookie season he did not play in the first 33 of 36 games. Later in the season he got more playing time by injury to All Star Yao Ming. During the 22 - game winning streak the Rockets ( the second longest winning streak in NBA history ), he emerged as a key player for his team. On 24 April 2008 he led the Houston Rockets in a playoff game against the Utah Jazz with a game-winning block on Deron Williams in the final seconds for the win. In this game, he also lost another tooth.

In the game against the Dallas Mavericks Houston Landry lost in December 2009, three teeth, as Dirk Nowitzki collided with a layup with him. Here, Nowitzki injured his elbow.

Landry moved in 2010 to the Sacramento Kings, among others, in Ausstauch for Kevin Martin. In February 2011 he moved to the New Orleans Hornets for Marcus Thornton.

In summer 2012, Landry joined as a free agent with the Golden State Warriors. In the summer of 2013 Landry took advantage of an option in his contract with the Warriors and left the club. He moved back to the Sacramento Kings, for which he already played from 2010 to 2011.

In his first three games of the season in 2012, he met every time at least 50 % (minimum: 5 litters ) from the field. Besides Kobe Bryant, Darren Collison, Rajon Rondo and Brandan Wright he is the fifth player to have managed this. As the only one of these five, he did not start.
