Rajon Rondo

Rajon Pierre Rondo ( born February 22, 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky ) is an American professional basketball player and playmaker of the Boston Celtics, with whom he was 2008 champion.



Rondo grew up as one of four children of Amber Rondo. With his father he had no contact since he left the family when Rajon was just seven years old. In order to feed their family, his mother worked in the third layer in the manufacturer of tobacco products, Philip Morris USA. Rajon Rondo first played football until his mother steered towards basketball because she was afraid he would get hurt in football, due to its rather slight build. Boston Celtics (since 2006)

2006 Rondo was drafted as the first point guard in the NBA Draft in 2006 with the 21st pick by the Phoenix Suns and exchanged shortly afterwards with Brian Grant against a Erstrundenpick to the Boston Celtics.
