Casal Vasco is a small village in Portugal. It belongs to the district Fornos de Algodres, Guarda District. It is also located in the ancient region of Beira Alta. It has an area of 6.7 km ² and 227 inhabitants (as at 30 June 2011), there live an average of 33.7 inhabitants per km ². It includes the location of the Quinta das Moitas and Ramirão.

Casal Vasco is tucked away on the left side of the Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain of Portugal. The community Fornos de Algodres is five kilometers away. The cities of Viseu and Guarda are 35 km away from Vasco Casal. The Mondego flows past five kilometers from the village.

It is unknown when Casal Vasco was founded, but the first mention of the village is to be found in a list of Portuguese villages from the year 1527th Casal Vasco is agricultural.

Casal Vasco has a rich heritage that includes the following:

  • Four chapels: Senhora dos Loureiro ( 16th century), Senhora da Encarnação ( 15th century), Senhora da Graça (18th century) and São Sebastião (16th century);

  • Two mansions from the 15th century
