Cédrick Desjardins

Cédrick Desjardins ( born September 30, 1985 in Edmundston, New Brunswick ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who stands in February 2013 in the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League under contract on their farm team, the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League plays.

Career

Cédrick Desjardins began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he was active for L' Océanic de Rimouski from 2002 to 2005. With the team he won the Coupe du Président, the QMJHL championship in the 2004/05 season. Subsequently, the goalkeeper moved within the QMJHL Remparts de Québec to that in the final documents at the Coupe du Président the Moncton Wildcats in 2006. After he first went aground for their AHL farm team Norfolk Admirals, he gave 30 December 2010 in the victory against Montreal his debut for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League.

July 8th, 2011 Desjardins signed a contract for one year with the Colorado Avalanche. He completed 36 games for the farm team of the avalanche, the Lake Erie Monsters in the AHL. In July 2012, he returned to his old team to Hamilton, as he signed a Zweiwegvertrag over a year with the Canadiens de Montréal. Mid- February 2013, Desjardins was transferred in exchange for Dustin Tokarski to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
