Cerro Porteño
The Club Cerro Porteño is a sports club from the Barrio Obrero in Asunción, capital of Paraguay. The club was founded in 1912 and has 29 national championships next Olimpia Asunción historically the most successful team in the Paraguayan football. The basketball team won at the beginning of the 1960s, two championship titles.
Football
Cerro Porteño plays its home games at the Estadio General Pablo Rojas club's own, even Olla Azulgrana or shortly called La Olla, from. With a capacity of 35,000 spectators, it is after the Estadio Defensores del Chaco is the second largest of Paraguay. It is named after a former president of the club. During the Copa América in 1999 here the game Uruguay vs Colombia ( 0-1) was held.
