Marcelo Alejandro Estigarribia Balmori ( born September 21, 1987 in Fernando de la Mora ) is a Paraguayan football player. Currently, he is the Uruguayan club Deportivo Maldonado under contract and is loaned to Atalanta. In addition to the Paraguayan Estigarribia also has Italian citizenship. Estigarribia is midfielder and is mostly used as a left-footed as a left winger. He is considered to be a good dribbler and Torvorbereiter.

Origin

Marcelo Estigarribia grew up with his three brothers in a very religious family in Fernando de la Mora, a few kilometers from the Paraguayan capital Asunción on.

Career

In the club

Estigarribia began his career at Club Unión Pacífico in the town of Nueva Italia. In 2005, he joined the Club Sport Colombia, in which he celebrated his professional debut at the age of 17 years.

In 2006 Estigarribia moved to the reigning champion Paraguay Cerro Porteño, which initially lent him to the Club Guaraní. After his return he gave on 12 November 2006 in a 5-1 win against Guaraní his debut in the Primera División de Paraguay. In the period following the midfielder reached with the club in 2006 to first place in the Torneo Clausura 2007 each ranked second in the Apertura and Clausura and the third in the Apertura 2008.
