Marcelo Alejandro Estigarribia Balmori ( born September 21, 1987 in Fernando de la Mora ) is a Paraguayan football player. Currently, he is the Uruguayan club Deportivo Maldonado under contract and is loaned to Atalanta. In addition to the Paraguayan Estigarribia also has Italian citizenship. Estigarribia is midfielder and is mostly used as a left-footed as a left winger. He is considered to be a good dribbler and Torvorbereiter.

Origin
Marcelo Estigarribia grew up with his three brothers in a very religious family in Fernando de la Mora, a few kilometers from the Paraguayan capital Asunción on.
Career
In the club
Estigarribia began his career at Club Unión Pacífico in the town of Nueva Italia. In 2005, he joined the Club Sport Colombia, in which he celebrated his professional debut at the age of 17 years.
In 2006 Estigarribia moved to the reigning champion Paraguay Cerro Porteño, which initially lent him to the Club Guaraní. After his return he gave on 12 November 2006 in a 5-1 win against Guaraní his debut in the Primera División de Paraguay. In the period following the midfielder reached with the club in 2006 to first place in the Torneo Clausura 2007 each ranked second in the Apertura and Clausura and the third in the Apertura 2008. In August 2008, Estigarribia was 20 - year committed by the French first division side Le Mans FC, where he initially played in the B team and was in the 1-0 win against FC Valenciennes under his Ligue 1 debut November 15, 2008 ..
On December 27, 2009 Le Mans gave the Paraguayans for six months to the Argentine club Newell's Old Boys CA. At the end of the season 2009/10 the lending was extended by one year, the Newell 's Old Boys also received an option to purchase in the amount of 2.5 million dollars, which they still did not perceive economic reasons. After the Copa América 2011, a group bought investors for two million euros Estigarribias transfer rights and placed him at Deportivo Maldonado in the Segunda División Profesional de Uruguay.
Juventus
His former club Cerro Porteño Marcelo Estigarribia reported for the 2011 season, but he was awarded on August 28, 2011 for 500,000 euros at Juventus in Serie A. The Italian giants has also secured an option to purchase in the amount of five million euros.
On October 16, 2011 Marcelo Estigarribia was under coach Antonio Conte in the 0-0 draw in the away game at AC Chievo Verona his Serie A debut. His first goal in Italy's top flight was achieved by the Paraguayans 29 November 2011 in a 3-3 draw against Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.
Initially Estigarribia was used by Juve coach Antonio Conte, who played with preference with three or even four peaks, only as a substitute. At the beginning of 2012, he took his leave with good benefits but also more and more for the root formation.

In the National Team
After he had already played for the Paraguayan U-20 national team in 2007, Marcelo Estigarribia celebrated on 22 May 2008 under Gerardo Martino 's 1-1 draw against Ivory Coast during the Kirin Cup debut in the Paraguayan national team. His first international goal for Paraguay scored the midfielder on 31 March 2010 in a 1-1 draw against South Africa.
In the Copa America 2011 Estigarribia played in all six games of his team, which was beaten only in the finale Uruguay with 0:3.
