The genus Kälberkröpfe ( Chaerophyllum ) belongs to the carrot family ( Apiaceae ). The botanical name is derived from the Greek chairein = rejoice, phyllon = leaf from.

Description

Chervil species are annual, perennial or perennial herbaceous plants. They are hairy. Your stalked leaves are pinnate two or three times.

The cones are composed, Covers missing or wenigblättrig that Hüllchen have several leaflets. The most hermaphrodite flowers are white to pale pink. Calyx teeth are missing. The bloom are back curved. Chervil species are pollinated by insects ( entomophily ). The Velcro fruits are narrow - beaked oval to oblong and only weakly.
